Default 1999 CBR900RR....Color combo factory or not?

I am looking to buy this bike today. However, I cannot find any reference to this color combination anywhere on the NET. The picture isn't very clear, so I am not sure, but the BLACK headlight fairing does not appear to be stock....there are no decals that flow from the side fairing........

Can anyone provide some input please? I don't want to buy the bike only to find out that its been down....its a 3 hour drive one way to see the bike....Seller says its factory......Please help.

It's a 1999 CBR900RR.

Thanks!

It looks like it has the front cowl and tail off a red/black model.

I would def say the bike has been down and def modified but it doesn't mean the bike is no good.. it just gives you a tad more wiggle room on the price.. and its actually still a really good looking bike.. if you decide to take the ride, make sure to look for bent braces which are notoriously known to be bent back instead of being replaced. and make sure you look the title over well. lots of genius's think because they upgraded the plastics they can say their bike is newer. and we all no better than that.
now dont we

It took me 4 months to find my 900RR. I'm the 3rd owner and bought it without seeing in person, only pics. I got luckly. If I would have seen it in person I would have offered less due to chain and tire that were supposed to be in good shape, but weren't.
I'd stay away unless its a really good deal. my 2cents.

Guys, thank you for the valuable responses and taking the time the lay out these points. It looks like I am going to pass afterall. After asking for more pictures and questioning the Color Combo....no repsonse from the seller......I guess that also confirms it. I would hate to drive 3 hours and find its a "bag of bones". Pictures can be very deceiving, so I guess I will keep searching. Research and forums like these always prove to be invaluable.

Thanks again for everyones time.

Take care.

My advise when buying a old bike (mine is a 94 with 18k) is to look for honest seller. 1st of all, the seller already lie about it being stock factory. That's BS...don't waste your time driving 3 hours. Save the gas money towards you purchase. Look for stock plastics as never lay down (if possible) there are many good ones out there. When they come up for sale, the price will not be cheap if indeed the seller is selling a great bike. Get those with minimum mods....if the fairing is all complete & never lay down...don't be afraid of buying older models...

In my case, I gotta have the duel headlamp...so it's 93-94
