Default WTF? Stock Windscreen Melts Guages?

WTF? I thought it was only the aftermarket "double-bubble" windscreens that melt the guage cluster. Since when did the stock windscreen do this? Is this covered under warranty? I just noticed this two minutes ago, and honestly, I'm quite pissed off about it.

That should be under warranty, I've never heard of the stock melting the gauge, but I apparently it can happen.

I just hope that my dealer believe's me. I could see how they could "think" I had an aftermarket one on, melted the guages, then put the stock back on and blamed it. I can see them saying something like that, but it's just my word against their's I guess. Hopefully my dealer doesn't dissapoint me for the first time with this. I'll have to give them a call on Tuesday to find out what I can do.

Anyone else have this problem?.......or ever heard of the stock windscreen melting the guages?

Thats bites!!! I have never seen it but I guess if it sits in direct sunlight, anything can melt the guages.

I had a sportech red chrome on mine... before they had the gradient strip on the back to keep it from melting... needless to say, yours isnt melted anywhere near as bad lol. Mines got a big dip and the 12 has a burntish brown spot on it... jackasses at the dealer had to leave it sit in the sun for over 6 hours though (oh, we dont have an oil filter for your oil change...) 6 hours? wtf!

As long as the screws that hold the windscreen in place dont have any toolmarks on them, they really cant accuse you of changing the screen!
