is this worth it?????
Hi im a die hard kawi rider:eek:, but i have a chance to pick up a 2005 CBR 600rr with 2000 miles on it for $1000.00...it has been laid down, but frame, forks, swing arm are ok but it does need:
new fairings gauge cluster clutch cable levers light assembly seat and looks like maybe rear sets but anyways i don't know much about them but seems like a good deal to me it is always nice to have a choice of bikes, and the CBR is my second favorite bike...just hopen to get some good feed back from you honda heads... http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/rr296/HOOCH256/z.jpg http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/r...OOCH256/z1.jpg http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/r...OOCH256/z2.jpg http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/r...OOCH256/z3.jpg http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/r...OOCH256/z4.jpg http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/r...OOCH256/z5.jpg http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/r...OOCH256/z6.jpg |

anything i should look for?

visually inspect the forks and frame for trueness, might need to have it checked to be certain tho. And dents, dings, scratches, cracks in the frame, esp at the steering neck and welds. does it start and run? leaks, mainly oil, coolant could be expected with all the other damage.
going by the pix, the fork seals are shot n leaking, not a real biggie if they are straight. def looks to need rearsets, I have a right one  |
i havent gotta see the bike in person yet, just been talking on the phone, he lives a few hours from me...but he said it does run but it wont start without the gauge cluster and the clutch cable is broke as well!
