OEM (new) is EXPENSIVE stuff, like everyone said, I'd go for parted bikes or eBay

Of course leaving the required room ahead of you for emergency stopping as taught in every single drivers ed/safety/MSF/intelligent person class would have prevented this 100%

Just a thought.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, hope for a speedy recovery for both you and the bike.....

like everyone is saying tho, laying it down is just an excuse for following to closely, wasn't comfortable with braking that hard...etc As the MSF will teach you(in other words of course), it doesn't help to point fingers at other people if you're dead.

the safety course is really good you learn alot and its free =]
