This is Weird?!
When Im done riding and I turn my bike off, the needle rests at 2k rpm position. If I turn the switch to "on", it does the system check down and rests back at 0. Starting up, it starts nice and idles at 1500, doesnt fluctuate or anything, normal operation.
Why would the tach always rest at 2k when shutting my bike off after riding, but drop to 0k like it should when I turn the key to the "on" position and let it do its system check down? |
Yes it is abnormal....you got an allien bike. lol

Seriously though, any ideas? I don't think its affecting anything serious but its just weird. |
Will it go back down if you just sit in one place and let it idle or rev and turn it off? or does it do the same either you go ride or not? I don't know if such thing as sticky needle, but sounds like something is make it to stick when there is no momentum (no idling).

or just start it, rev it a bit, then shut off Both times the needle will rest at 2k until i turn the key back to "on" and it runs through the system check down and then rests at 0 |
