Warped front brake disc
Gday all, sorry its been a while between drinks for me .......
I did a Track day last weekend on a HOT (40degC) summers day. After pulling into the pits after one crazy session I noticed that the brake fluid resiovor was damn hot to touch and the front brakes were "ticking" as they cooled off. I was only using the brakes on 3 corners of the track -Barbagello, Western Australia.
I took the weapon for a spin this arvo for the first time since track day and felt the standard brake shudder of warped discs. I notice that only the front right has an even pattern of scuff marks so yeh, disc warped........grrrrrrrr
I have the stock (original) discs, new genuine pads and was wondering if anyone has had this problem. Are there any aftermarket discs, pads you can recommend that have a higher resistance to extreme temps????
Cheers crew, all imput respected.
Ride it like ya stole it and keep the rubber side down-Kearnsy
