Anyone that thinks a sport bike is a good commuter probably took a short yellow bus to school too...

*****...i agree with everyone on what they said about mileage, reliability and all..but damn my *** hurts after 25 miles of riding...if u swap out the seat then..MAYBE..but i never swapped out the seat...

oh i know another guy with an 03 rr with 77k miles...did a compression test a few months back...almost even across teh board....just goes to show you the reliability of a honda..

great for me. 5 miles of CBR fury to work and 5 miles back. So it just depends on the person if the bike is a good commuter. Ride one and see if you can walk in the door at work, if not, get something else. And yes, I did ride the short bus a couple of times. It beats a Faggio!

That's a matter of opinion...but I know what a matter of fact is...

......

honda is a good reliable bike. mine has never givin me any problems i change my oil every 1500 miles and i do all the work on the bike myself. whos wants to pay $120-$150 for an oil change? if you know how to work on it then do it yourself, just get the real owners manual. you can pick one up for around $30. my bike is my everyday ride. i have a car but refuse to pay for a tank of gas in it. so i have to maintain it alot. either way its a matter of preference, just about all bikes are gonna cost about the same to maintain and get around the same mpg, it doesnt differ TOO much. its how the bike feels to you and how you respond to the bike. i love my honda because i love the way it handles, it has great power and i fell it fits me perfectly.

Depends on what your Idea of a good commuter is. No a/c, heat, navigation, wipers, c/d changer. 90 miles round trip to work and wouldn't want to have it any other way.
Rev but damn my *** hurts after 25 miles of riding...if u swap out the seat then..MAYBE..but i never swapped out the seat...
Iron *** does need to rest once in a while so after clocking 600-700 miles a week so the weekends can be slow. Fuel economy at 6th gear at 6-6,5K rpm I get about 40-45 mpg. I'm a cheap bastard so I keep track of the mileage closely.

If you want sound economics, a slightly used Ninja 250 can't be beat. My wife had one and it was a pretty cool bike. The one financial issue that wasn't mentioned above is insurance. If you have a spotty driving record and/or want full coverage, the insurance can get pretty expensive. [:@]
