you guys out there with new bikes. did ur bikes come with the tool kits in it. i got an 06 cbr 600rr and it was brand new and i didn't get a tool kit with it. should i call the dealership or call honda??? help me out here

 

Just had my right fairing off & discovered I didn't get one either!!! Kinda makes me mad!! I've heard the tools are pretty chinsy, but hey for the $$$ we spent on a new RR we oughta get something right?? [:@]

 

honda stopped giving tool kits starting w/the 06's. everyone i know w/an 06 didn't have one but one guy actually had it in his. must have gotten lucky.

 

Yeah, the "tool kit" is an allen wrench that can be used to take off the fairings and that is about it. You can order an upgraded tool kit from Honda, but it's kind of expensive. I don't remember how much though. I was a little upset that they stopped including them as well. I had to call the dealership to find out what was going on. They did it to save money.

My 2006 came with the above tool kit, and just bought the wife one also and hers came with one too. Different dealer for each. In Canada tho so maybe different here.

 

Im pretty sure the US models came with that strap/cable thing, and one allen key..

 

Really sucks they can't include that now. I mean there are a couple of things in there that would really come in handy in a pinch.

Would anyone care to spell out exact sizes & items so some of us 06 owners can build our own??? Would be MUCH appreciated.

Actually kinda ticks me off they don't. Yet the manual advertises it being there. FALSE advertising. Misleading.

How much to buy that kit outright?

On a brigher note! No wonder 06 RRs are FASTER than all other year models!! THEY're LIGHTER!!!!!

check ebay. i see complete tool kits on there every now and then... usually in the $15-25 range. not too bad.
