I can't imagine ever needing to replace a tire because it's too old. My friends and I have had terrible luck with flats lately. Three of us have had flats in the last month, one of them came on a brand new, first time ridden dunlop 208. All were caused by nails. Thankfully we each found them flat, they didn't blow on us while riding.

I have 2k miles on my dunlops and have minimal wear on the middle, and I ride quite often with passenger. I have no complaints with the dunlops, they stick well, But i have broken the back end loose probably 10 times in hard deceleration for like 10mph turns. I have ridden the dunlops on numerous bikes, as well as the michelins, The michelins feel alot softer than the dunlops. Didn't drive enough on the michelins to put a big impact on me, plus i get hooked up on dunlops.

I bought a lot of **** from motoxoutlet.com. By far cheapest place for most gear.

I had mine on for a good 3k's miles and they were still doin good... till I decided to blow em off!! lol

Hard Deceleration on any tire will cause the rear end to break loose... just to let you know.

As far as tire pressure... I RUN 16 IN THE REAR. 16-25 depending on what I plan on doing those days...

Last 2 wks before my bike was totalled i was running like 35 psi.... cause it was just serviced and I was too lazy to air them down lol...

Wow. I thought you had to have the rear at like 36 or 38 around there. Isn't that bad to run the tires so low??

I think michelin are the best,Pilot Power all the way,ive ordered my CBR just today, and i hope i get a set of Michelins!!!! But i aint gonna count on it,but yea josho666 i think you definetly have the best tyres. I think i would rate tyres in this order, for me personally

1. Michelin Pilot Power
2. Pirelli Diablo
3. Dunlop D218
4. Bridgestone 012SS

Thats my view anyway.

That's cool. Guess I lucked out. I would think they would use the same tires all the time on all the bikes.

well i bought my 05 in the end of Feb. and i have about 7000 mi. on it. i still have the stock 218. i dont know why you guys say 4k mi but i have just about 7k and my tire is just about done. i dont do any burnouts but i ride HARD. i scrape my pegs regularly and my sides are still good just the center is worn. i sure would hate to go thru 2 sets of tires in one season $$$!
