Tight Clutch
Hello guys,
I tried searching but could not find anything and am on my way to work. I have an 03 CBR600RR and when I picked up the bike yes the clutch was stiff but moving it around starting it up not the clutch is almost near impossible to pull. It is so hard. I know you can adjust the play at the lever if I loosen this up will this help it be easier to pull? I love where my clutch engages and such it is just a hassle to pull. I have an aftermarket lever on the brake side, no idea the brand sorry, and I have the factory clutch. Will changing this help? I am at a loss here. Help haha I would like to pull my clutch in. It is cold here in IL could it be stiff because of the cold? Like I said it was stiff before but not its near impossible. I hope this is posted in the right place. Thanks guys!

Yes temperature will have an effect on clutch stiffness.
Especially if it hasn't been cleaned and lubed regularly.
Try lubing it with a cable luber and spray lube.
Pull the cable off of the handle-bar and attach the luber there.
Attach the spray to the luber with the little tube.
First use WD-40, to clean all of the gunk out.
Squirt till you see it come out the other end of the cable.
Then use the lube, the same way.
Here's a picture/link of a cable-luber...

You should be able to easily find one at your local bike shop.
They aren't exactly a complicated device.
Hope this helps, Ern
