OMG, this totally sucks. My insurance won't cover this because my deductable is $1k... i've only had this helmet for a couple months, what a waste of $350. Thanks for all the imput even though it wasn't what I wanted to hear.

You know you can take your seat off and there should be some helmet hooks on the subframe. Hook your helmet to one and put the seat back on.

Dude that sucks. Technically the helmet should be replaced. I wouldn't want to take the chance of it failing when you really need it. It's the most import gear you have.

the 07 doesn't have hooks for the helmet. However I use the metal hooks that the seat clips onto to secure my helmet. U can either strap the helmet very losely and hang it by the strap, or use the larger of the clasps on ur helmet strap and slip that over the hook. Either is a secure way to hang it. I have tested it with my backup helmet at over 100. It didn't go anywhere .
Also, I dropped my helmet by hanging it off the mirror (stupid). I still use mine, and although some may think its a bad idea to continue use, I don't agree with them. Ultimately its ur choice and ur head

i never leave my helmet any where cept on my hands...
i cant afford to replace it b/c:
1. some @sshole walks off w/ it just to b mean
2. it slips off the bars/mirror/hook and hits the ground

atleast in my hand its totally my mess up if it drops...

and one last thing im sorry to hear about urs takin the plunge...hope it works out for the best for ya

i'm still using it because it's better than nothing. i'm debating buying a new helmet, though probably will in the next few weeks. if i send the current helmet in to shoei to get checked out i will need another helmet (interim) regardless, unless i plan on NOT riding while it is away (not the case).

when u say halmet hook are u guys with the 07s talking about the wire and rubber thing that came in the blue bag under the seat? If so , I don't consider that a real helmet hook. Just wondering
