swing arm spools/ sliders
So I was thinking about buying some swingarm sliders because I really need to get a rear stand to do simple maintenance. Are some better then others or do you guys reccommend certain ones? I was just going to get a pair of shoguns that were 25 buck or there were some on ebay for 8. I plan on leaving them on when I ride also

RE: swing arm spools/ sliders
do u want swingarm spools or sliders?
spools/cottonreels go in the holes below the swingarm so you can life the rear end.
sliders go through the hollow axle with a slider tip at the end to prevent damage to the swingarm in a crash.
spools are not meant to protect in crashes and most of the time snap off..
and vise versa, sliders arent meant to be lifted by.

If you want the most "bang for your buck"...the Shogun Crash Kit has the big swingarm spools that you use for lifting the bike......and.........in theory...... will protect your rear end there in a low side. Will it work??? Pffffhttttt..I doubt it...but its better than nothing and it serves a dual purpose.
