Stumped...
Like the title says I am stumped. I have a 2005 CBR600RR. The problem I am having is with the license plate light. It has an undertail kit put on the previous owner with an LED license plate light (I'm not certain what brand it was). I have been having issues with the plate light since I first bought it. The light works, but it flashes. At first I thought it may be a bad connection somewhere, so I checked all the connections and redid them all. That didn't work. I checked the current in the wires and it is fine (and doesn't pulse). I know with LED turn signals resistors are sometimes used to slow down the flash. Does the license plate light need a resistor (or should I try to put a few resistors on to slow the flash down so it's not noticeable?)?. The other thing is that it doesn't always flash at a constant pace like a turn signal. It will flash fast, then slow; there is no pattern to it at all. Can someone help me with my strobe/license plate light?

RE: Stumped...
if it's just a LED, 12V is all it needs, it shouldn't ever flash.

RE: Stumped...
Hook it up directly to the battery to test it. bypass everything else to make sure you just don't have a faulty LED.
