RE: STOLEN in Waco, Texas
rich.........so what was the deal - you had lojack but they are easy to hide?? dude at the dealership told me they recover bikes within 8 hours that have lojack and they always hide it in different places on the bike so its more difficult to hide..
most common loser thieves arent smart enough to look for lojack - i live in the city and i had an older 02 R6 in bad shape and i locked it up with a chain from the dealersip and nobody really messed with it but now i got my 07 cbr600rr and i'm worried - i hope the lojack thing works...
i'm gonna get a ****ty aftermarket cover that looks bad and cover it with 2 chains- hopefully people wont get curious

Yeah never even knew what lojack was until now. I think I should be alright being I dont live in to rough of a neighborhood. My biggest worry is dumb *** neighbor kids sitting on the damn thing. My solution to the ultimate defense for your motorcycle tie one of these bad b1tches to it.

What good is a lojack if your not aware the bike is gone for a day...then activate it and the bike is long gone...they can sell everything except the ignition, locks, engine and frame, I believe. And there are ways around those too, so even they can be sold.
I would just keep theft insurance on the bike and if it gets stolen they send you a check and you get a new bike. If the bike gets stolen, why would you want it back? I agree with redbbwoy...I don't see anyreasonyou would want a stolen bike back, unless it wasn't insured.
I had an old Camaro in college that got broken into and I sold it because I felt it wasn't totally mine anymore because it had been violated by some douche...

RE: STOLEN in Waco, Texas
it was my bike that was stolen . dont get to confy where you are or think that it wont happen to you .. thast what i thought . i live in a desent apt. complex and nothing ever happens here .. its pretty quite and things where just good .. i walked out to check and see if i needed my rain suit ( it looked like the pavment was wet but you could not see the rain ) and i looked to my right and had to take a double look because there was somthing missing ... my bike !!!!!! so i ran to the spot looked around to make sure no one was just palying a joke on me ( and if they had i would have beat the **** out of them ) and at that point i new it was gone .. tears started rolling down my cheek that bike was like my child .. it ment alot to me .. i know . it may sound stupid .. but it was the only white and silver CBR600RR around town and it stod out . when it was clean ( hell even when it was dirty ) it would shine in the sunlight and man it just looked plan good .. it was MY dream bike .. i'v always wanted a 600RR since they came out in 2003 i finaly had mine .. my own RR my own HONDA CBR 600RR ......... some lazy motherf*&%er had to come take my child from me ............... i know i'm not getting it back . i found out a few nights ago that my bike was not the only one stolen that night .. at least 2 other bikes from baylor had been stolen to .. one being a CBR1000rr .. what pisses me off is theres a black zx600 as you first pull in and turn to the left .. right there .. you cant miss it .... do they take that .. nooo .. but no one really wants a kawi. anyway right ? ... it just plan sucks .. and it is only costing me money . i have to put money out for a car rental beacuse my car is being painted and my ins. is only coving 20 dollars a day .. so i'm paying 5 dollars a day for the rental .. it dont sound like much but **** ! i should not have to be paying for something that was taken from me .. i have to wait 14 days before they will cut me a check so i can get anotherone .. then i have to fill out a new app. for a new loan .. its bs .. i know i will get another loan .. but thats not the point .... its more headace then it needs to be .. thats for sure
