stock tires suck

stock tires suck
Am I the only one who doesn't trust the stock tires? I ride an '05 rr, and I have noticed the rear tire gets loose on me. I have been working on those lovely chicken strips on the edge of my tires, but every time I get into the turn, I feel the rear end get loose. Makes me not want to push it. Anyone else get this with their stock Sportmax tires? Just wondering if I am being paranoid, or if it is a common thing with the stockers.

RE: stock tires suck
208s are good tires. Not the best, but they are a happy medium between longevity, grip, and wet weather traction. I feel ok-confident with them. I wont push them a lot but they stick just fine.
Have you jacked with your suspension at all? How's your tire pressure? How many miles on the stockers?

RE: stock tires suck
I should clarify, it doesnt happen every time. The tires have about 2200 miles on them. Suspension is stock. This is not my first bike, but I admit I am no expert. I will have to look at those other factors listed. Will work on my skills. And yes I know, get the suspension set up. I am clueless when it comes to suspension. Thanks for the input. It tells me that it's me, and not the tires.
