Default Sry Guys..ii searched and nothing answers my Q! so..

first of lemme begin by saying ii took off my fairings jus to get more familiar with my bike and bcuz ii was bored. now down to bizNezz.

ii noticed that my coolant level was @ the lower level line. my q's are...

1) In the owner manual it says to use Pro Honda Hp Coolant...is this wats in there now? --being it came from the stealership.

I know ii have to do a 50/50 mix of coolant and water etc etc, but thats not my q. Q is..

2) Do ii jus add the proper mix to regain its proper level, or do ii have to drain whats in there and then add the mix? and any other steps?

3) ^^ if not so, then when is it required or recommeneded ii shud drain coolant?

I know for cars when the coolant level is low, u just add more and go about your business, is this the same case?

Is your coolant still good, no build up or browning. It doesnt last long here since its so hot. If everything checks out, you can by premix and just add it in there. I have some at the house if you need some asap! I can leave it out for you.

did you read what the manual says abotu checking it.

the level in the overflow tank will change with the engine temp.

if you checked it hot then it will probably be low..

once it cools down itll purge some from the rad. back into the overflow.

Heybuddy is right. Check level when cool.

Let's assume it's low. You can add right to the tank...no need to drain/fill.If you don't have HP coolant, use DISTILLED water only. It shouldn't be low enough where addingthe distilled water would be a problem. You can buy HP coolant 50/50 mix "ready-to-use". Good luck.

yea ii read the manual however, didnt chk it wen it was hot. reason being, only bcuz my bike was apart...ill chk it soon. and Graphix it doesnt look as if there is any build up or browning, although ii must say ii dont know theEXACT color or type of "buld-up" ii wud b looking for. the color in there now is a dark green. and wen ii set the bike up-right it moves just as coolant would...so dunno???

alright jus chk'd it wen it was warm, and the initial chk was wen the bike was cool...both results yield the coolant level being located at the lower line. so bak to original q.,,,just add the premix and thats it, unless ii have build up or a browning effect.correct?

My understanding is that when its cold it should read at the lower level mark. When it gets hot (220+) it should be close to the upper level mark. At operating temp (177) it should read between upper and lower mark. If its low add to resevore. Coolant should be changed every 24k.
