Default spotting a repaired bike

Hi,

I recently purchased a 2006 CBR600RR, about 7 months ago now. The bike had done 2900kms at the time. I bought the bike from a dealer who had traded two bikes from a husband and wife; the one I bought (the wife's), including a black CBR600RR as well. My question is, what are the chances of the bike i purchased having being dropped before, either at a standstill or low speed, I wasn't able to find out through the dealer. Having owned the bike for 7 months now, I'm still unable to detect any issues either visually or when riding it.
how repairable are bikes when it comes to an accident? I realise just dropping them would only require cosmetic part replacements, but are there ways of telling if parts have been swaped out??

cheers.

you cant really unless the previous owner informs you of it. Just because they been down doesnt mean they are ruined. And plastics can be replaced/fixed easily. I wouldnt worry about it if there are no problems present.

Not to be rude, but if the above quote is true, then I don't understand why you are concerned if it was dropped.

I totally agree UNLESS, the dealer represented the bike as never being dropped.

I have dropped the Kawi fixed it and never noticed a change in it. Bought the Honda that was previously dropped fixed it and there isn't any way it could ride any better.

what you dont know wont hurt you, if the bike is in perfect working order and looks fine then who cares.

my bet is the wife dropped it before it was even off the lot, just a hunch though.
