speed question...

RE: speed question...
well I'll say this much, digital speedos are actually less percise than analogs. I went to the dragstrip with my F4i and hit 120mph and thought my day was done (need an NHRA license and a kill switch tethered to your arm) Winds up 120 on my speedo is 112 in actuallity. Once your speeds get over 100, 110 the numbers get kinda funky. You were probably more around the 130s or 140s. I would guess 140s just by taking 10% off for the gearing but it could be lower.

RE: speed question...
im not douting you saw 160 mph on your speedo in 5th gear but its a mechanical fact that this number is untrue due to the gear ratios set by honda with the sprocket setup and transmission. maby if you changed your gearing for more top end but this is uncommon. as stated above speedo's are off by a given percentage, maby you should have the dealer ship look at it or look into getting a speedo healer if you would like to see anything close to your true speed. just my thoughts.

A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO I HAD THE ROAD ALL TO MY SELF AND DESIDED TO RIP IT, SO FINALLY I REACH 5TH GEAR AND RIGHT BEFORE IT REDLINES I NOTICED THAT I WAS ALREADY GOING 160MPH AND STILL HAD ANOTHER GEAR TO GO, IS THIS NORMAL FOR THE 06 CBR'S, OR IS MY SPEEDO REALLY OFF?? (AND ITS STILL STOCK)
