1. call the cops
2. call your insurance company
3. get it to a shop for repairs
4. watch it like a hawk

3. get it to a shop for repairs
4. watch it like a hawk
5.) Buy some more security devices (locks for rotors, chain, cable, two way remote alarm). These are DETERENTS ONLY. They will not stop someone set on stealing your bike.
6.) Determine why they thought they could get it. Was is parked in such a manner as to make it easy to move once started? My bike is always completely blocked in. Is it a failsafe? NO. If they want it, they'll bring a few guys and pick it up and carry it off. Will it deter the common, lone theif who just wants an easy steal? Most likely, yes.

Fact of the matter is that if they want it they'll get it no matter what you do. That is why you keep theft insurance.

Dude, where you live makes a huge difference as to whether your stuff will get messed with. Like the rest of the guys say if you haven't you need to invest in a hilacious chain and lock. I also live in an apt. in a good neighborhood and the three bikes that have been stolen from the complex were not chained up. No chained bike has been stolen from my complex since I've lived there (5 years). I bought a couple Scorpio alarms for my bikes along with chains and haven't had them touched. The alarm pages me within 100 to 200 yards. (paid $325 each).

Sorry to hear of your troubles.I'd like to hear how the lock fix goes.
