Shifting and brake/clutch position questions
Hey all,
I hope my subject isn't too confusing. I have two questions...
#1 So far I don't like the position of my brake and clutch lever. This may be because I'm a newb, but I think it should be rotated farther down. (clockwise when looking at the brake lever from the right side). Is this normal or should I look at my riding stance more then adjusting the levers?
#2 I just got some boots. They don't seem to fit under the shifter all that well. There is a suede patch on the side. It seems I can shift easily by using the side of my boot and the overhang of the sole. Is this the way it should be done or will this develop a bad habit? I have 8 miles of experience, so I want to start right. The MSF is July, so I don't want to wait until then for an answer!
Thanks!

RE: Shifting and brake/clutch position questions
my boots didnt fit that well either...Most likely you will need to break them in a bit... or what i did is adjust my riding position a bit so i could angle my toe down a bit more which helped alot and now sometimes i will only have a problem with my boot not completly unengaging the lever

RE: Shifting and brake/clutch position questions
Coworker / ex-ridertold me that you dont have to have your foot under the shifter and its probably better not to. Just use the side of the boot for shifts as long as it easily grabs the shifter. Thoughts?
Cksean said I could easily adjust that..... Adjust my riding position or the levers? (I think you meant levers)
