Rear Turn Signals
Hey guys and gals,
As you all know, I just bought my '04 CBR600RR and I love it to death! However, the guy that owned it before me did some cosmetic mods, including the removal of the rear fender. However, he didn't get a fender eliminator kit, he just plain took it off. So now I have no rear turn signals and my license plate is mounted sideways on my swingarm. Is this legal? Or am I gambling every time I ride and its only a matter of time before I get busted? |
RE: Rear Turn Signals
Most likely it is illegal. I know alot of people in my area, Philly, have the same setup. Most times cops won't even bother unless they have a reason to stop you. If you are doing wheelies, 75+ red light to red light, dartin', 100+ etc.

RE: Rear Turn Signals
Not legal at all. Find yourself a fender eliminator. SOme have integrated turn signals and license plate lights. If not you can always get a new rear brake light with integrated turn signals. For some reason the exact name of those is slipping my mind right now. I got a fender kit off Ebay. It was made by www.fendereliminators.net Was $85 and has the integrated turn signals and license plate light. Best of luck. I would find something though before you get a nice ticket.

RE: Rear Turn Signals
yeah i figured it had to be pretty darn illegal, not to mention unsafe. since i don't have rear turn signals and flushmounted forward signals, its pretty much impossible to see any blinking from my rear. about how much do integrated brake light signals run for?
