Rain Tires and 100mph tank slappers
So I had my first race in the rain at Summit Point, WV. I raced in C Superstock and C Superbike with the 05 600RR. I was the only person on the track without rain tires, and dot tires made it quite an experience. I about took out my teamate coming out of turn 7, he was right behind me and my back end kicked out completely sideways right across his front tire, but luckily he managed to avoid me and actually ended up passing me. This was in the C Superbike race. In the C Superstock race I got into a 100mph tank slapper (yes I have a steering damper GPR-V4). All I can say is that God saved me from wrecking but my shaft and ball sack is completly black right now. I hope its just bruised and nothing worse. I was toasting my teamate on Sat. because the track was dry and it was 76 degrees, but on Sunday he had money to get rain tires and I didn't so his lap times were 5 seconds faster than mine, whew do rain tires make a difference.
Making sure the bike (202) is comletely saftey wired, my teamate (311) got fined cause his bike wasn't completly saftey wired.
Getting ready for the warm up lap for C Superstock
My gf, Sherry, supporting me even though it was raining
160mph front stretch in the rain, breaking down to 45mph into turn one, nerve rattling.
