Ever since i first saw the "racoon mask" i would like to get one on my future bike....i really like them and they look really good. Makes your bike extraordinary and different from everyone elses. And for some reason to me, it makes it look a lot faster, as if its moving in that picture... i love the design. once i get my bike, i'll definitely want one. Great job

 

Are you hand cutting them or machine cutting them. If you do end up making these, PM me and I can see if I can get you a better deal on vinyl.

Whoa! This thread was revived out of NOWHERE! LOL!

Here's the scoop.......

I changed the design a bit to be more "application friendly". Vinyl is a very unforgiving b***h around corners and such. The Raccoon mask that is pictured at the top of this thead would actually have to be painted onto the bike. I had a professional vinyl graphics shop try it out........and it turned out okay, but it looked tacky.

So I designed this one which people actually prefered 3:1 over the original design.......



This design was MUCH easier (after my failed 3 attempts and the graphics shop's failed 1 attempt). I actually applied this one myself......and it was actually enjoyable and fairly easy once you get the hang of vinyl. I had NO experience before this project, so anyone can do it.

The reason it would be hard for me to sell this as a "kit" is because the center bulge requires you to actually lay a large piece of vinyl on the paint, and "score" the design you want with a razor blade. Because the bulge is so curved, I can't pre-cut a piece of vinyl for it.

Although, I'm thinking I might be able to sell the other pieces.....and just include a large piece for center bulge. That could work. I'll look into it and get back with all of you. But until then.......here's a short write up of how you could do it yourself.............

i would buy it without the middle section or with the DIY included in the package....

 

I measured the pieces today, and going to cut it tomorrow. Once I get flawless templates........I'll make a set for you. (it's spring break, and everyone left but me.) ..........lol.

 

Is that right side stripe much larger than the left? New pics don't look like they mirror each other at all. I thought the first strike marks looked realy bad *** but thats just me. Only thing I dont like about new one is it looks uneven to me?
