Question about 600 mile service
Well, i bought my 07 cbr 600rr with 775 miles on it and the dealer (uses bike dealer)i brought it from said that they "changed the oil and oil filter and checked all the fluids". Even though they said it, I went ahead and looked over it myself just to be sure and everything seems to be fine. My question is, will not having an "official dealer"600 mile service affect the warrenty I purchased in anyway? Or is it best for me to go ahead and take it to the dealer. Right now I have about 1400 miles on it (yeah 700 in a week).

RE: Question about 600 mile service
Technically, it doesn't even need to be a licensed mechanic. Go read the Magnusson-Moss Act for more details.
It is a real time killer, but good to know.

RE: Question about 600 mile service
Get yourself a factory service manual and do your own work, if you can. Don't get caught up in the dealership hype. Some people think because the dealership did the work that it's done right. I've been burned by more that one....... Never again. I wouldn't trust my local dealerships to fix hot chocolate.
