i'm lokoing at buying an 03 CBR600 RR for 5500. it has 1300 miles on it, and anew 06 plastics on it.

when the guy bought it, it was damaged in the front, and he put new forks on it and fixed it up, the front end is almost all brand new. its all stock as well.

my question is, what is this bike worth? the title is clean, and when i rode it, it appeared to drive straight. i am going to take it to a buddys shop and have him ride it and get a better opinion. but if everything is straight, is that a good price?

It depends, an 03 with 1300 miles on it is kinda unusuall. Given that it was crashed, it probably sat unfixed for a few years. It everything is perfectly straight, and it looks like new, then 5500 isn't a bad price. Ofcourse, many people would say just buy a new one, but I'm not one of them. I say go for it if it is in 'great' shape, even better if you can get it for 5000. Just make sure the title is clear

 

I saw an 03 go for $5900 just this week on ebay.....

 

Dude there are tons of bike that are out there... I looked and looked and finally I found and bought an 04 CBR600 RR for only $4,000 with jacket and helmet!! Given it was military to military but just look around and dont rush into anything you will find something.

that's not a bad price.. but definitely not a "great deal". my buddy just sold his 03 600RR with all sorts of mods in mint condition for $5400 today!

 

i bought mine for 6000 last nov never crashed w/ 3k
