well i just bought the bike and just got my plates. i really have not decided on what set up i want to go with as far as fender eliminators and tail light set up. i was thinking of making my own since it just fabricating or bending a few brackets to basically hold the plate and lights. i've been looking at a few kits but $100 is alot to pay for some brackets. but thanks to those who left feedback on my posted topic.

Thanks tmut! Don't mind the noobie and his nonsense about your tail section. Every bike had one at some point and it's obvious you just got your bike so what's the big deal. Even if you decide to keep it who cares, the bike still looks good, and most importantly rides just as sweet regardless of it. Don't rush into getting your FE, take your time and decide on what you like. If you do decide to make your own, all the more power to you.

You're the first one since 2003 (well, second unless you're the same guy on another forum) that called the tail a shovel...are you talking about talking about the rear fender, or the tail? I take my rear fender off for the track, but other than that I don't obsess...
