Default project of the century

so way back in 04 i when I was looking at what type of bike to buy i found this picture and knew right then that I wanted this bike. now I am in the modification stage and slowly putting it all together.

-What I have so far-
- swing arm bolts gas cap and engine covers powdercoated black
- new bearings
- vortex rear sets
- 520 conversion with regina(italian) chain
- black crg "shorty" levers
- scorpion titanium slip on
- vortex frame sliders and spools
-What I still need-
Black out or chrome the lights
h7 bulbs and running light
blue gauges
bar ends
blacked out or chrome windshield
entire set of plastics (minus the tank and right mid)
custom flat black paint

I think that chromed out lights and windshield would look better that all black
what do ya guys think?

NOOOOO!!!

My secret is out of the bag! I just recieved my plastics back from the painter--all flat black. Dark tinted windshield, and all of my metal (swingarm, engine covers, lever, pegs) are at TRG being coated black. Only chrome on my bike will be the pipe (Jardine) and the forks.

Should have it done next week, i'll post pics as soon as i do.

Anyways---go for it bro! That'll only make 2 of us with custom "raven edition" RR's!!!

That picture you have attached is a stripped down Japanese version of a 2003 RR...I believe it's called "the white version." It has no headlights and only the essential stuff so you don't have pull it all off to make it track ready. It has no extra horsepower, or the items you have listed unless you add them yourself.

Any way, your bike will look ultra stealth, can't wait for the finished bike pictures!

For regular track days, you can leave on all your street stuff (mirrors, turn signals) and just tape over them, but the less you have on, the less you'll have to break off if you go down!

That RR he has in the first picture is more for racing and basically just has the unpainted stock plastic with no head/tail light assemblies...I think they sell it that way so you have less to remove and deal with when you track prep it.
