Power Commander Installation
Hello gents... (and ladies) I got my yearly bonus this year, and as you can imagine I got a power commander. So I am checking the instructions and everything seems easy to install. Has anyone done it before? Easy?

RE: Power Commander Installation
It is relatively easy. Just be sure to plug the PC into the bottom fuel injectors like the directions tell you to. The hardest part will be unplugging the throttle position sensor plug then plugging the PC TPS into it because of how the TPS is positioned between the engine the frame. Take your time learning about the mapping software and have fun playing with different maps. I think the people who feel a difference are the ones who put a lot of miles on their bike before doing the upgrade.

RE: Power Commander Installation
When I purchased it from www.morepoweracing.com they programmed it for my slipon and the K&N I bought. They say now that it has a map it should be different. I am going to attempt the install this sunday, so I will let you know.

All over hopefully. Her mid is kinda jerky. this weekend sucked so I did not get the install done. Supercross is this weekend, so I won't be able to do it then. So maybe next weekend... unless the job wants more overtime, jerks!

RE: Power Commander Installation
Ok, the powercommander and k&n are installed. I just fired her up and she is ALIVE! the link above was a great checklist, and I only ran into a couple problems. 1). That TPS sensor sucks. The screwdriver tip worked, but still took me a few to move things around. 2) Be very careful when moving the gas tank. I accidently disconnected the fuel link to the tank. The tank was up and I had little gas, but that was fun. Lastly putting the K&N on was weird. I didn't realize I had to open it up like that to put the air filter on, but that was fun too. Now I put on all the body work, and then take her out. I should have some pictures of the dissassemble later. PEACE.
