I have an 05 CBR600RR while racing this weekend I had a practice day on saturday and no problems full throttle for 40 laps where possible.
On Sunday while qualifying the bike would die occasionaly on the stariaght while accelerating around 13.5 to 15k
And nearly every time at the hairpins when changing down the revs would lift up to the max as I bliped the throttle changing down the gears if I let the revs drop below 6K.
The ignition key is bypassed and wired into the kill switch. when the bike cuts out it is just like hitting the kill switch the lights go out on the dash and the bike coasts, I have to flick the kill switch on and off to bump start and power on through the rest of the corner ( not fun)
By the 3rd race it was getting better only cutting out when I crossed the line. And in Race 4 it was ok at full pelt again.
I asked a few of the guys there who run CBR's if they have encountered anything like it and none had.
One thing that did raise a few eybrows is that I do not have a tilt sensor fitted. it was removed by the people I bought the bike from.
It did this a month ago too and I thought it was the battrey, so I have replaced with a new one.
