Did my white one............Best recommendations? Just take your time, and be 100% sure that you want to do it---cuz when you cut it, you're gonna score the clearcoat with your razor. But i don't have a single regret.

Yes, Adam. I actually came across your pictures and it looks Great!! Your bikeis what gave me the motivation to do it. I also played around in photoshop with mine and really enjoy the look. Would you happen to have a close-up picture of the stripping? Did you just use automotive pinstripping at your local store? Thanks for the help.

Yep, just the $3 pinstripe from up the street at Auto Zone.

I'll try and get some close-ups later today.

And the project begins.... Completed the Nose Cone Today. Poor Quality pics (camera phone)

What size stripping did you use Adam? 1/8th or 1/4th. Thanks!

ooday---thanks man, i appreciate it. Took a lil time, but i love it.

crash---i used the 1/4" striping.

Just a tip: On your points, lay one side, cut it long, then lay the second side and overlap it to form an X. Then use your blade to cut the excess, and end up with a nice point.

Ahh thanks for the help an adviceAdam! .. Looks Great! .. I just started yesterday and am taking my time, doing a little each day. I can already tell i won't have any regrets aswell.

How many miles have you put on your stripes? .. do they hold up well under speed/rain/etc ?

Thanks ~Crash

I've got about 3000 miles on them....no issues so far with speed, rain, anything. I use a wipe-down cleaner to clean my bike, so i can't vouch for them under a pressure washer, but i would guess that as long as you weren't hittin them at an angle, you still wouldn't have any problems.

The best part? You can always take em off and redo them for about $3!!! lol

Try not not powerwash them. And be gentle with rags. Once you get something under the edge of them they will start to peel. That is why I had mine painted on.
