over heating

My bike seems to be over heating alot in town , I have put water wetter in and it seemed to help but sometimes riding in the city it will climb well above 130 or higher , the fan is on at 120 , so then I have to hit the interstate to cool it down what should I do ? Oh it is a 2003 CBR600rr thanks

RE: over heating

If you're fan is kicking on at 120... you've got some problems. The fan should turn on at about 218-219ish and the operating temp of the bike is around 180.

Talking Celsius...?

at which point 120 is well on it's way to overheating. it should be running at around 100 or less. the fan SHOULD kick on at 106.

Do you need a cheat sheet to convert the speed limit or do the math that fast

RE: over heating

I don't use THAT much Metric... just the temp. though i did try to use all metric for a week. wasn't that hard once you remembered what numbers when with which speed... but then i found out my Speedometer was off and i went back to MPH.

Everything else we have has different languages on it... why not post the speed limit in both.

We must look like major a-holes... everyone uses the metric system and we're too good for it. Think of the money we'd save in tools alone if we only had to buy metric...

Anyways. Why use Celsius for temp instead of Fahrenheit?

easier for me to remember.

100 = boiling water = not good
0 = frozen water = not good
50 = good enough for me = rollin'

Can we highjack a thread or what.... :D

I never paid attention... can you still use MPH with monitoring your temp in Celsius?
