RE: OTD pricing on 07 CBR600RR

I got my 06 1000RR Last July for $9658 otd, that included all taxes and regs. Another guy I rode with got his from the same dealer for almost $13000 OTD, 2 weeks earlier. I think some people are just destin to throw money away.

I think some mis-use the term OTD. In my book OTD means the total cost you will pay to have the bike legal in your state.

I am currently in the process of trying to get another 06 fro $9100 OTD, should be possible since SouthernHonda and Abernathys of TN are selling them for $8500 for the 06 1000RR. and after the taxes and regs in my state it should be $9100.

anyone that bought the 07 600RR or the 1000RR can you please post up the "invoice price" of your bike...... thanks a bunch.

dealer do rip people off but just the same they are there to make money to feed their children and etc. they are in business to make money and not to lose it, so its understandable that they charge from 12-15%(more of a fixed mark) depends on state or market in that area or 15-25% depending on the demand, market, season(s) (very important here), average salary and available credit to the consumer.

also, the dealer tries go up in price to a point that they ensure not loose money on the bike if they have to sell it next year at a lower price, which is still much higher than the invoice price. that why in my area if you do 12%, next year you might sell the bike at cost or lower. it wont do well for business to break even since you stored and maintained(cleaning/polish) that bike for a full year .

contacted the dealer and they said within or slightly lower than 10k for 07 600rr in nyc, over 13k for the 1000, im gonna wait 2 years and buy that bike used..... im gonna drop it anyway, might as well be cheap.
