OTD price for 2006 cbr 600rr
Hi everyone!
I am new to this forum as well and any inputs would be greatly appreciated. I am IN LOVE with the Orange W/Black Tribal 2006 cbr 600rr,however the dealer said OTD price is ~$9400 for a brand new one. Is this too much? What should i be paying for this bike. I want a BRAND NEW one, not used.
I live in Southern California (Orange County) so if anybody knows any dealerships that are selling this particular bike in this color please let me know, i'm having trouble finding them.
Thank you.[/align]

WAY TOO MUCH!!!!!!
I got my 2006 600RR (in June of 2006) for $8500 OTD with frame sliders installed, helmet and jacket and first service. Since the new 07's are coming out, you should be able to pick one up for $8000 OTD easy. Play hard ball with them, because that's how they're playing you. Offer them $8000 OTD, don't show extreme interest in it, and tell them to take your offer or leave it, and remind them the 07's are coming out. If they continue to play you, walk.
But, before you go back, check other dealers in surrounding areas. (1-4 hours away from your city) and see what other places are asking for their 600RR's. If they're cheaper (usually smaller shops in smaller cities have cheaper prices), I would try to get your dealer to match it. If they don't (penny for penny), then walk and buy it from another dealer......but make a point to let your dealer know that you're going to buy it there because they wouldn't offer it to you at that price. Then they have no doubt in their minds they lost the sale because they were being jackasses about the price. That's what I did, and it couldn't have turned out better! (Plus, my local dealer just got sued big time for ripping people off by installing used parts instead of OEM parts when something was defective.) - So I'm glad I went with this other "honest" dealer.
Good luck man, let us know what you do.

Call Santa Clarita Motorsports, and ask for Ryan. They have one tribal orange "tony the tiger" edition( i like to call it), with crg levers, sliders fender eliminator kit, and flushmount blinkers, and if im not misatken and a dark smoke double bubble. The number 661-259-8460. open 7 days a week. Tell him The Bermanator with the 1000rr sent ya! (he may hook you up a liitle better, personal friend of mine!)

I paid $7800 for mine with 90 miles on it. I consider that brand new, and it was the 2006 Black/ Tribal scheme. Dude was selling it because he was a big redneck hunter and wanted a new 4wheeler lol. Damn I love Georgia sometimes
Oh and it came with a crappy helmet if that even counts haha, I just bought a new one

I got what i consider an OK deal for an 07 for $9300 OTD. For me thou i didn't feel like trying to beat the guy upfor a couple hundred buck's more. I'm sure i left a little money onthe table.Butwho cares. AllI know is the first pearl white/ silver07 through that dealers door is all mine......................(holding breath till 3/19)
(Oh yea head coming back out of the clouds)
-back to the question at hand. The new bikes are coming out next month. It has to be pissing them off that people are willing to come in and put a deposit down on a brand knew bike but yet the 06 is still sitting on their store floor.
The advice above is all good too.
Though www.troycitygarage.com is in New York they list brand new bikes on-line below MSRP for all their bikes. This should it least give you a starting point for pricing.
