Default Oregon Speeding Record

Here is the video of me being stupid and breaking the speeding record in Oregon. By the way, I was sentenced yesterday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azHPjmMtzPQ

Here's what happened:

Charge 1: reckless driving class a misdemeanor, dropped to careless driving, a traffic violation, guilty plea.
Charge 2: reckless endangerment class a misdemeanor-guiltly plea.

Fines: $520 for bike impound
$1,500 lawyer fees
$1,250 for charge 1 and 2

18 months probation
90 day license suspension ($75 fee to reinstate license)
I have to take a driver improvement course ($45 fee)
15 days in jail, I report next thursday.

The judge admonished me for being such a dumbass, and I told him I agreed and was sorry. Hey let's all take a minute and realize that it's easy to make mistakes. I want others to learn from this and practice better judgement while on the road. I have been riding for 18 years and I should have known better.
Peace.

Wow, thats one helluva expense for a quick rip. So the video got you in more trouble than first thought by the cops? If so, you shoulda pulled the memory card outta the camers while still riding (if Possible) and thrown it on the side of the road. Then they wouldn't have been able to use it against you.

Ouch. Sorry to hear about the 15 days in jail. I guess that is better then being dead from a 160mph crash though....

glad your so mature that you can set a prime example for these new riders to not follow. everyone gets a bike and either thinks or is told that if you have a motorcycle that you have to go 164 and do wheelies and run from cops. i know i was told that and started to even think it until i realised i was retarted and started driving right.

im glad your posting all the total costs cuz that really puts it in perspective. saying you got a ticket is one thing, saying you got a$$ raped by fines and the exact amount is another.

i salute you and hope that your story keeps another youngster vertical instead of in pieces

ps, watch your back for those 15 days, we dont want to read a thread about your friend bubba in prison cell 14. j/k j/k please no squid.

good luck
