OIL Leaks
 

I recently changed my oil, and I think I might have added a little more than 3 Qtz of oil. Would this cause a leak after a ride? Is it possible to check if my oil is too full?

ya that would be one cause. yes there is a looking glass on the very bottom of the motor on the left hand side of the motorcycle if it is over the full make then you put to much in. Also check the oil filter if it is on steright or tight enough. Good luck and hope i was some help.

like cbr rider said make sure to check the filter and the drain bolt are tight... You don't want a trail of oil left right where your rear tire is going

Oil filter being too tight can also cause a problem.

yeah just check the oil levels on the side in the mirror.!!
you bike give you some extra smoke if you put too much in it!!

I have a question about my 2005 1000CBR, I have a slight oil leak I see the drip that froms on the wire harness on the right side of the bike by the oil glass. If you need pics I can add them. I was wondering if anyone had this problem and whatt possibly could it be.
