Default Oil Change Now???

I'm in North Carolina and its about time to pack our bikes away for the winter. My bike is due for an oil change. Should I not worry about it since the bike isn't going to be running for the next few months and change it next Spring??? Or should I go ahead and change it now and not worry about it in the Spring?? Or does it even matter??

Thanks

change the oil/filter before you store it. you don't wan't used oil sitting your bike for months. used oil is contaiminated with acids and other harmfull elements that can corrode internal engine parts. also fill your fuel tank and put stabil in your gas and run it for 5 minutes before you store it

put stabil in your gas
hahahahahahahahaha! Why? What is the friggin purpose of doing this? is the gas going to turn to varnish over winter or something?! Will it Congeal like blood clogging the filters?! NO!!! this whole stay-bil bull crap is really irritating the hell out of me. How many implements do i have at my farm? tractors, lawn tractors, push mowers, weed-whackers, ATVs, Farm trucks, etc. they sit over winter all the time and i never put staybil in any of them. Guess what happens in the spring? BBBBBRRRRRRROOOOM! They fire up every time, every one of them, including my bike, my brother's bike, and a friend of the family’s bike. 4 total, 2 FI, 2 Carbureted. 3 sport, one standard. I live in Wisconsin. Winter storage here lasts anywhere from 5 to 6 months.

Gasoline stays fresh for a very, very long time.

stored gasoline degrades in as little as 60-90 days. stabil is cheap insurance against running your bike on stale fuel which could cause the bike to run poorly or cause detonation. 2 oz. treats 5 gallons. better safe than sorry. your bike and fuel system will thank you
