Oil change
Ok i just broke 3.5k on my bike and want to do a oil change. I have a 07 cbr 600rr. I was wondering does anyone know if royal purple has oil available. what kind of oil am i looking for as well. Recommendations? is it still worth paying the extra money and taking it to a shop? Thanks

I use Repsol Mix Blend 10w40

RE: Oil change
+1 thats what i used when i changed mine... the clutch seemed to be a little more firm and a little smoother... but that could be for all oil changes too tho since this was my first one
ORIGINAL: CBRYDR I use Repsol Mix Blend 10w40 |
RE: Oil change
Honda GN4 conventional, 10w40.
Oil is oil. . .don't waste your money on synthetic, just be sure to change it on time. |
RE: Oil change
ORIGINAL: bikerboy Honda GN4 conventional, 10w40. Oil is oil. . .don't waste your money on synthetic, just be sure to change it on time. for example there is an oil analysis posted on 600rr.net about honda gn4 where it was tested at 1700 miles and the company recommended that it be changed due to the fact it was already broken down. then there is an oil analysis on www.hooliganbiketech.net of a few different kinds of oil and the honda gn4 again starts out fresh less quality than the repsol. in fact standard gn4 has more clutch destroying moly than the respol, |
RE: Oil change
I believe there is a difference and i'm willing to pay for the better oil. Just trying to find good synthetic.

RE: Oil change
Ill order it online. What oil does a 07 cbr 600rr take? at work and want to get this done. 10w40? I'm going to get the amsoil. Couple cases..stock up. Now to find filters. Thinking K&N if they have a oil filter. Always had good luck.

RE: Oil change
10w40 synthetic motorcycle oil. I haven't had any luck finding anyone around these parts who stock motorcycle Amsoil. I found a local hack motorcycle shop that said they can get it for me at $12 a quart..Yikes! no thanks. Online you can get a case of 12 for about $100 and some change +shipping.
