Default Oil Change

was thinking about doin an oil change myself... how long does it usually take for you guys to do an oil change?

Depends, 30 to 45 min, you know plastics an all get in the way [&:] at least on my f2 they do

takes about a half hour, give or take a few minutes when ya drop a damn bolt and can't find it

i was readin the owner's manual and it said you had to move the coolant reserve tank... does it really have to be moved?

no you just need to unbolt it and swing it out of the way...one bolt and you need to wiggle it a bit, you'll see what i'm talkin about

+1 on what dballer said. don't have to remove it but just swing it out of the way. if you have any probs just post up

Did my first oil change this weekend, took me about 2 hours all in all!! About half an hour was trying to take the stupid oil filter off which was stuck tight and half way through it started raining which wasn’t fun!! Apart from stupid fiddly things like that it was all fairly straight forward

congrats on your first oil change i don't like working on the bike outdoors... in case i have to get up and go for some reason. if my garage is full... i go to a friend's and use theirs
