Now that the weather cleared a bit...
Since the crappy, soupy, rainy weather finally got out of here today, I took the
600RR out for it's first decent spin under my personal hands and butt.
(My little state park entrance road, great surface, good turns, one good straight, no traffic.)
I would guesstimate I put in about 60-65% percetile of seriousness and my skills as they are.
I guess I'll just say...
Wow, from my 1994 F2 to my 2004 RR, they made some great strides, especially in power.
Coming out of the second ess, left hander, that leads up a hill into another left hander,
I accelerated at my usual point coming out, wanting to regain speed from the gradual and slight
loss from the exit of the entry to the esses, right hander, and then a bit on the body transition for the lefty
and get up enough speed to make the uphill climb worth being there for.
Oh yeah baby...
I could feel the rear sliding nicely, if a bit unexpected, because I'm not used to
this much power.
Steer with the rear indeed.
YES!!!!!
Day was a bit cold, and I'm sure with warmer tires and tarmac I could have gone up to my 75-80% percentile.
Getting a feel for this thing for sure.
Love it...love it.
It's still cold out, so a coupla' stops for coffee and a smoke or two were absolutely mandatory.
Nice little Sunday morning ride.

Relative came by early Friday morning, before I got my bike, and borrowed it for my sister's 2 year old daughter's birthday party down in Houston.
I'll have some pics up tomorrow night...for sure.
