new to the honda family
hello all, new to any cbr site, newly aquired 07 600 rr , why is my insurance so much higher now than with my 04 R1, no changes in driving record?
|
you'd have to ask your insurance company for specifics, but part of it is probably that it's newer and inherently has a higher monetary value
also insurance companies look at theft rates, accident rates, power level, etc of each bike |
id say just based on pure value, 04R1 vs 07 600RR, the RR is more exp in there books.
also as mentioned the R1 may be stolen less than the RR ? just my 2cents ;) |
what insurance company do you have and whats your rate?
|
Insurance
Just my opinion...
If you have a good driving record...Try State Farm... They have been awsome to me and I have refinanced through them for better rates than offered through dealerships and credit unions! Sorry to sound like an insurance ad.. but they have been good to me |
One reason is because of the year...the 04 is older than 07...so if your 04 was stolen or wrecked its not worth more than the 07(book value). Even brand new the price difference between a 600 and 1k is only about 1500.....
