if you've ridden a motorcycle before, RR is a beast. The F4i is fun too, but not as exciting. First advice for you is to go and test sit the two bikes and compare them side by side. Nothing is more annoying then having to sit on your bike in traffic and if your seating position is straining your back, *** or legs, then find your self a different bike or find a way to make it more comfortable. All sportsbikes will give that fast acceleration feeling so don't feel like a whimp if you get an F4i for a more comfortable seating position. They are still fast nontheless.

get the RR, i just got mine yesterday...WOW!!! i am only a newbie rider too, i drove a motorcycle like 3 or 4 years ago, but that was just around the block. The seating on the RR is amazing and very comfortable, you wont be let down with the RR..get that.

Quit being a woman and buy the 1000RR, just kidding man. But look at things you will need to look at.
Seating postion/ergonomics
Price
Insurance
Style etc.

You know you're a newbie when you actually think the RR seat is comfortable...

I just can't bring myself to type another reply about "R" bikes being a poor choice for starter bikes...I just can't do it...I can't...I can't!!! [&:]

getting a 600RR over a 600F4I is like getting a corvette zo6 as your first car. Now i cant say much but i am addicted to speed whcih is why i got the RR over the F4I. The F4i is the same enegine and same concept just tweaked down correct? Like they said go sit on it, learn how it makes your but hurt. check out insurance and financing. I myself have an RR and i dont regret getting it has my first bike.. but my pocket book does

Good first choices...But when they they say RR all the way..Humm I own a 2002 F4I and bet I can out run most of you noobs in the twisties with it.
So go look cool on your RR but just rember who is in the rear view mirror....The F4I is by no means slow..Plenty of pick up and if you know how to ride it will out perform the RR
