Default New guy lookn to make a few cheaper mods

I have had my yellow 03 600rr for a little while now and am ready to make it a little quicker and sound better.. I ride everydayand dont want ahotrod just a lil moreGO..I think i have decided to go with a a lowering link (for my shorty legs) and a two bros slip on to start things off and i have been doing some looking into changing my sprockets and maybe a pc... Not real sure what I will get out of the -1,+1 setup I am hearing about and I know nothing at all about map setups or powercommanders (Is it necessary with a slip on?)... Can you guys help me out and maybe throw me some prices and places to find these
