I bought a FE off a 600RR.net forum member. I have no idea what brand it is but hey it was only $25 shipped. It didn't take all too long to install but in normal R Dub fashion it probably took me way longer to install than what it should have lol but I got it installed in about a hour and a half. I like it but I don't like about it is the left rear turn signal wire crosses right over the top of it and the nuts for the turn signals are exposed unlike OEM. I don't know if there is much I can do but let me know if you have any suggestions or if you think I installed it wrong :icon_shrug: I can take some further away pics of the new FE if that would help. How do you like it?

The thing that I like about it is there is no long fender hanging down by the rear wheel. The thing I hate about it is now the wires and bolts are exposed up top. I can't decide if the trade off to bring the plate up is worth having the wires and bolts exposed. What are your guys thoughts. Would you keep the FE on there or go back to the OEM fender?

Get an integrated tail Rdub!!!

but I like it - looks less bulky and cleaner.

Am I the only one who is seeing a bunch of pretty red x's?

The reasons why I don't want to get a IT are

1. Concerned about visibility from behind
2. Do want want to get rid of my silver exhaust guards. I like how they cover up the pipe and makes the bike look really clean
3. Worried about the IT touching the pipe and melting it
4. Not thrilled about splicing into the wiring harness
5. Not thrilled about cutting into the under tray
6. Don't want to relocate the plate and not a fan when the plate hangs by a bracket that is wraped around the exhaust. Doesn't look clean IMO.

These are in no particular order. So as you can see I really want to go with a stock design but want the plate close up but don't want the wires and bolts exposed. I also don't really like how my new FE lowers the brake light so it is not inline with the turn signals anymore. I might go back to the OEM setup but do something like this.

all the problems are solved, and your even worse than Nate when it comes to not wanting to mess with installing stuff haha :icon_flamethrow: :icon_drink:

solution is simple, nate is going to be wanting to sell his yoshi, buy it, and the tst tail light (have them shipped to my place), ride down here, and ill do it for ya haha, for the price of lunch

I think mine got much cleaner even though I have license plate hanging around the muffler. My tail light do touch the muffler but it is not melting yet. Also, on non-lowered bike, you can lower the muffler a bit to give clearance

6. Well thats your main issue then. If you don't want to relocate the plate (TST) and you don't want it hanging from the bracket in almost stock location (Tripage) then there really isnt any other options (swingarm mount? LOL!)
