New battery on '07 RR
Planning on buying an '07 600rr w/ 0kms at the stealership..... now how good would the battery be if it's been 2 years now since the battery was installed, and the bike has been sitting in the showroom t'ill now?
The clock on the display was ON, so for sure the batt is hooked up... or not?
Or do they hook you up with a new battery when they finally have a buyer for it?
And is there any pre work done before they hand you the bike?(maybe tightening up all the screws and bolts etc)?

I will bet money that they have connected the battery recently if you saw the clock on. There is no way the battery would have a charge after sitting connected for 2 years. If it starts ok, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Also, if it has 0 mi/km, the hardware should have already been inspected during assembly.

Buy it under the condition that if it dies in 6 months they will replace it free of charge. and get that in writing.
I worked for a john deere dealership for a while doing maintenance. I drove pretty much everything they had there, lawn mowers, tractors, gators. you name it.
they always had the battery hooked up, batteries would die, Some times i would charge them if i had time, most of the time i just jumped them with a jump box. rarely did i ever replace any batteries. Its costs money to do that, money a dealer isn't going to spend if they don't have to.
It is probably still good, but I would suggest making battery replacement a condition of the sale, and/or, ask to see documentation if they claim its a new battery.
