1 tiny difference

07 rake-23.7 degrees
07 trail -96.3mm

08 rake-23.5 degrees
08 trail-97.7mm

So small you wouldnt know the difference...technical mumbo jumbo

Hatebreed is right...just different colors

If you're in a toss up, get the '07 and save yourself some dough. Same bike with that tiny difference that is almost impossible to tell.

^^ That's what I did. Saved myself a little over $1500 bucks.........then I just bought a couple additional fairings from an 08 to make it look the way I want. They just arrived late this afternoon, so tomorrow, I get to drive an hour to get them, then spend the whole day finishing up the bike.

I forgot...one other small difference...cosmetically speaking....the 08 swingarm is anodized instead of painted. Grabbed these pics off another site.

Here's the 08

Look at the top pic....you can see the grain in the aluminum because its anodized...bottom pic its painted and you cant see it. Like I said...small cosmetic difference...but it is there. Nitpicky mumbo jumbo......[sm=smiley24.gif]

I can't make any comparisons between the 07 and 08 but I did finally get to ride my new silver 08 today. Compared to the f4i it is much quicker and more maneuverable. The shifting is much smoother as well. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the ergos after the f4i but it was really comfortable....would have rode all day if I could.

Ok. I see that now. Thanks for the clarification. So, if you know, what.. if any is the advantage of "anodized" aluminum??
