New 03 CBR RIDER QUESTIONS???

Hey, I just purchased a used red/black 03 cbr 600rr with only 3300 miles. I payed only $4,000 and it is in excellent condition. Does anyone know effective and safe weight reduction techniques? Is there any way to lower the bike just a little? Im 5 ft, 6in and 140 lbs and I wanna know the best way to customize my bike for height and weight. Does anyone have any tips? What about safety upgrades? Recalls? Maintenance? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to the boards... great bike you got there! I love mine. As far as recalls, none really to speak of. Maintenance is pretty standard. As for the ride height there are adjustments. They are located on top of the damper in the front, and the rear adjuster is a little harder to find but it is located near the Nitrogen reserve. Have fun, ride safe!

Welcome to the forum and good deal on the bike. We have the shop manual for the 03-05 floating around here so ask all the questions you need to. I'm 6' 210lbs so I've never touch the height of my 05. I haven't heard of any recalls either. The maintenance is at 600 mile for the break in and then it starts at 4000 miles increments. Do you have the owners manual, it list all the schedules and what is done.

As for weight reduction, a simple NORDIC trac would be your best bet...

Other than that, you will be spending more than 5x your bike to achieve...
I have a Power Commander PCIII USB for sale for that bike, and a Leo Vince Exhaust... (my fav exhaust for power, and sound... Not like a lame pipe you get sound, and lose exhaust lol)

No recalls... Honda's the ****!
