im new to the forum and i need some info on a 2003 CBR 600RR.
i can get it for $2400 because he told me it needs a new clutch.
i already have a person who can sell me the parts for cheap and the labor is free since were good friends.
the only thing i want to know is that is there any more problems i am to face in the future with this bike? because it has supposedly been dropped but on the fairings aren't in any bad shape. this is gonna be m first bike so i'd like to know a lot more about it .

 

I don't know too much about the 03-06 RR's but from what I gather they are pretty solid bikes. I would just question why it needs a new clutch. Was it used for stunting? If so then you can run into more issue like blown fork seals. We need more info on the drop. Was it dropping in the drive way? Then chances are no damage besides cosmetic. Was it dropped doing 70mph. Then the forks and rims could be bent. Maybe internal motor damage, Maybe tweaked frame/subframe. Need a little more info to give a fair assessment.

 

Yeah as Rdub stated need more specifics for sure. If your buddy that will replace the clutch for you knows his stuff maybe bring him along to check the bike out as well.

2,400 sounds like a reasonable starting point though for sure if its in decent shape.
