I will be purchasing a 2006 CBR 600 RR within the next month. I have narrowed it down to either red or black. Any suggestions? Pros or cons? Anyone have either and have pictures to share? Thanks.

 

Red is always nice. Black is good too though.

i went black. i see way to many reds out here in CO. plus i like the look of the black more. Just my thoughts.

 

if i had to choose between those two colors... i'd pick BLACK

 

They say "once you go black you never go back", but I wouldnt know about that. LOL

 

lang you see too many reds huh? well you can add another one. i just purchased a red 2003 RR. i really wanted a black cause they look sick as hell, but a friend of mine put it in good terms. i would be riding a lot at night, and black is that much harder to see at night, and that much more of a chance to not be seen. so i went red....red is beautiful anyways. i hate almost everything in red but the red RR's grab me for some reason.

anyways i need some people to get together with in CO, maybe we can get a ride together sometime this summer, im in westminster

 

just got a black and they look sleek as hell!

actually, black vehicles are slower than any other color. everyone knows that darker colors absorb the sunlight more than lighter colors. the lighter colors reflect more lsunlight. it is this added weight of the absorbed sunlight that slow them down.

no **** everyone. funny story. as unbelievable as this "absorbed sunlight equals weight" story may be, my buddy actually convinced his brother that it was true. he went and traded his black trans-am in on a silver camaro so it would be faster because it would reflect light like a mirror!

edit: OOPS! forgot to answer the original question. between red and black i would choose black like everyone else. i am a lemming
