Default More Frame Slider questions...

I'm going to order my vortex frame sliders for my 03 600RR tomorrow and probably have the honda dealer instale them for me. it's worth the money so I don't screw up my fairings. how many people have rear frame sliders too? do they just screw in down by the back tire? about how much do those run? are they worth getting?
thanks guys

as long as you tape masking tape and cover the hole cutting area you won't mess your fairings up

I probably could, but it just freaks me out doing it by myself.

oh got ya. I wasn't sure if they made them for the rear of the bike and I did see bikes with spools, but I didn't know that's what they were for.
thanks man.

Spools aren't sliders. But they do make swingarm sliders (that will also act as spools for stands) that go in the same place as spools.

I welded the track stand extensions on my F2, but the 600RR has threaded fittings for spools, which I "installed." I have noticed that several vendors advertise the spools as swingarm sliders, too. Same material as the frame sliders. BTW, I put on the Shogun (offset) frame sliders and they appear to be pretty solid - I know the reservations some have about offsets, but Star Schools uses 'em and that's enough for me.

Hey,

I have 2006 RR Easy to install, just follow directions, and mask the out side of the plastics, went slick, use a drummel tool to smooth hole out after. worked perfect.
