Im thinking about buying a 2006 600rr, Im not going to spend over $3500. I know $3500 but it is on ebay and is a salvage title with very minimal damage, really only a front stay and upper fairing and a shifter. And a few scratches on the sides and the tank cover and a crack in the rear fairing, but those are nothing. What do you guys think?

 

I wouldn't touch it without a physical inspection by a frame shop and a mechanic.

 

Its not a salvage title because of the damage, it is a salvage title because it was a police impound. Once it is impounded they turn it into a salvage title. So thats why Im considering it.

 

If you are looking for a project and the damage is minimal its probably a decent price. As above, I would have the frame checked for peace of mind.
If you don't want a project, and your intention is to ride, I would look elsewhere. These projects can really drag on, time for delivery etc, finding time to get new parts on the bike.

Well I have decided to pass on it, the price was a bit steep for what I wanted to spend. It ended up going for $4750.
